Man, that's cool.
My only suggestion is that it might look better if the guy got lightened up a little when the gun goes off.
The recoil animation is a bit slow, but this is really rad regardless.
Wait sorry now that I look at it the one shots and the other doesn't I love it
I like it, but I think that after the gun spins he should fire it
the subpixel animation looks great on the clothes and body, but it kinda looks funky for the hair.
Hmm. Clothes look OK now, but the hair has gone in the wrong direction in my opinion. It inflates as he lowers the gun. Maybe the subpixel thing does not work there. Just guessing that a lighter gray or blue AA would do the trick instead of the brown. Or simply decreasing the volume.
Thanks a bunch everyone.
@Showtime, when I first sketched him out I didn't really consider the canvas at all and I didn't intend to animate him. I tried to crop his legs a tad to fit him entirely but that ended up making him look kinda chibi-ish so I sacrificed the feet.
@Adam: thanks, I'll keep the clothing detail in mind if I make some changes. I'm also not too happy about the brown AA, perhaps I should throw in another shade of blue.
@Gavralcraw: the subtle movements in his jacket, legs, and 'fro are all on purpose, I had to do something about it otherwise it was like looking at a statue with a living left arm.
this feels a little odd to me compositionally, particularly the way that the top of his head meets the edge of the canvas, and where his legs are cut off by the canvas.
however, the animation and colours are very lovely.
A great piece! The subtle animation is nice, but it would be much more effective if the small details of the clothing were also moving. Also not sure about the brown AA of the gun.
This is a really smooth animation. I;m suffering from pixel envy - but on the detail / shooting image his body seems to move slightly (on magnification). Or is that me, or is that intended?
The Pixels of pants decrease and increase with frames. Same with shirt. But overall it looks cool
More like, the ultimate street badass of badassery...awesome
