Some super-heros defend earth, some defend Gotham City, some even defend the whole universe... and then some just defend the moon. :)

An experiment in secondary lightsources. I'd like to think I did okay with the secondary lightsource (the moon) on the character, but I'd appreciate any crit or tips on that in particular.

EDIT: Did some anatomical/shading corrections, removed an unnecessary color.

Partack (Level 3 Private Eye) @ 11/18/2011 23:57

 lol. Probably gonna vote for this. makes me think of a bruce lee noise as he flies through the air.. 'IIIYAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!"  *CRUNCH!!* (Augh!!)

would kinda want a sot glow comign from th moon though. perhaps a yellowy tinge to it? .. i dunno it's great how it is though. subt;e and doesn't distract the eye.

Skull (Level 11 CEO) @ 11/16/2011 13:45

 Man, I don't even need to tell you how sweet that looks.

Sublyme (Level 4 Murderer) @ 11/16/2011 10:22

Nice pose and lighting

EdJr (Level 9 Nidan) @ 11/16/2011 09:27

Yeah, it's better, but actually I would do something like this (really quick edit, just to demonstrate).

About the moon, I just can't remember how it was before, but I suggest you just to "compose" it better, showing the craters. (The shading doesn't need to be sooo deep though).

sasuke91 (Level 2 Kukyu) @ 11/16/2011 07:11

hehe much better  GJ

Kravvon Nar'roth (Level 4 Ensign) @ 11/16/2011 07:03

 @Drazelic: Thanks! ;)

Kravvon Nar'roth (Level 4 Ensign) @ 11/16/2011 06:54

 @EdJr: I tried adjusting the position of the lower abs and the shading on the upper leg to fix the leg displacement. Better, or should I adjust it some more? I also gave the moon a bit deeper shading, but I want it to be fairly bright to justify the secondary lightsource on the character.

Kravvon Nar'roth (Level 4 Ensign) @ 11/16/2011 06:52

 @sasuke91: Thanks! I changed his face so that it looks like he's yelling, and it works much better now. :)

EdJr (Level 9 Nidan) @ 11/16/2011 03:07

Very nice shading and pose! But I agree with sasuke91, and I think his legs are kinda displace from the rest. The moon could have some deeper shading too, just like  him. =)

sasuke91 (Level 2 Kukyu) @ 11/15/2011 21:28

cool pose and detail :) but should change his face expression, maybe like a hiyaaaaaa, atm looks like something else has caught hes attention

Drazelic (Level 8 Partner) @ 11/15/2011 19:25

 Oh, nice! You've definitely improved a LOT since you started pixelart. The detailing is great!

Scarodactyl (Level 8 Marshal) @ 11/15/2011 18:23

Considering how far off the moon is, I kind of imagine him punching out wolves for howling at it or something.

Great piece of work, by the way!  I really like how you handled the volumes and pose.

Kravvon Nar'roth (Level 4 Ensign) @ 11/15/2011 17:20

 @offwhite: Lol. I had originally planned on adding some alien(s?) in as well, but the frame was too small to allow it to work without messing up the composition. ;_;

@Gravalclaw: Thanks! Actually, I do best with small-scale projects, since most of my pixel-pushing career has been spent almost exclusively in creating small-scale sprites.

Gavralcraw (Level 5 Killer Klown) @ 11/15/2011 16:29

Very nice work at such a small scale.

offwhite (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 11/15/2011 15:33

lol XD he's gonna punch the hell out of those damn invading aliens just outside of the picture!
