The only character I don't recognize is the guy between Samus and the Scrab...who is it? These are all very nice...however Zangeifs left arm could be a bit more...I dunno...dynamic maybe.
EDIT: Oh, also I would love to see a version of Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine...Sagat perhaps.
since u made the scrab, how about "Abe" himself?

On a side note, why is Batman so fat? It would also be nice to see a Joker.

nice work so far.
i think the first line you have free shoulld be dedicated to memorable movie characters. the second should goto some memorable cartoon characters.
if i've learned anything from you, its that you'll go for your own favourites. but i'll make some suggestions and that may inspire you to do some of them:
cartoons:
- simpsons (homer is the more memorable character i'd say)
- smurfs (maybe grandpa smurf. i was never a fan of this cartoon so...)
- street sharks (i'd go for the blue shark, i'd give you a name but its been way to long since i watched this)
- the last one might go to bender from futurama or a nickoleon character like spungbob or red and stimpy. or perhaps something from the flinstones
movies:
- nightmare on elm street (freddy, the most memorable and loved sadistic child killer in history)
- child play (chucky. the notorious killer doll)
- texas chainsaw masacre (leather face. because a deranged guy with a ripped up face running at you with a modified chainsaw that can rip through basically anything is enough to scare anyone)
- for the last one i was thinking maybe rocky or rambo. robocop might be a good choice also as the movie wasn't all that amazing but he is very memorable.

Love it. Epsecially Raiden. Although Sub-Zero has a bit of a neanderthal-forehead going on. And may I suggest one of the street sharks. I don't know why, they just came to mind when I saw the palette.
Heh yeah it looks better now. Looks like he's cleaned it though to be fair he seems to wear that gi all his life so it probably would be brownish by now.

I don't like the palette much. It's fine on some of them but on others it just doesn't work for me at all, such as the usage of brown on Ryu's gi and overall it just has this sorta drab muddy look I find very unappealing. The actual pixelling of the characters though is very cool.

Nice, it wouldn't hurt to add a few more Nintendo Characters in there. Bowser and Link perhaps.
You put that palette to really good use. And all characters can easily be identified.
As for my suggestions... Not a real challenge for your skills but I suggest Fernandeath from Waku Waku 7. Or maybe Zappa from Guilty Gear. This character had some really weird moves, though, so maybe putting him in a still image wouldn't do him justice.. lol
