The only thing I could say to help make it better is to add more frames, it's charming the way it is, but smooth animations always make things more impressive.
I was originally under the impression that he only had little black dots floating in mid-air for feet, which actually makes him look more endearing to me. I was almost disappointed to discover his legs :D

for such a small pixel i can't see any real way to improve on what you've got. Maybe make his front foot, i.e his right come forward just a bit more. It doesn't seem to be moving as much as his left.
