I like the minimalist composition and the colors, but the way you did the sun just doesn't work. That red arch is much darker than the sky around it, and the pale sun although brighter doesn't come out as luminous.
I know there's just no way to reproduce the enormous realistic range of values of a scene with the sun in it, but I can think of 3 ways to hint at it: either darken the sky around the sun, use color contrast, or high saturation.
Have a look at how the old masters did it: Turner, Monet.
Looks nice, I think the clouds should be scattered throughout the sky though, not just in the area right in front of the sun.
I love the simplicity of it very appealing to the eye, maybe this will be my screen saver.
