I think you might have taken better advantage of the mixed resolution here. Edit:
Kept the type as is, resized the crest x2 (sorry for the crappy barely cleaned auto job, just to get the point across), and messed up with the 4x4 pixels. That's only one option, the point being to break the harsh resolution gap somehow.
I agry with CobaltHex. Nice line art, logo is lowely, but shading could make it "sounds" more... tasty Actually, it's up to you.
BTW, congrads with blog! Now all you gotta do - fill it
very nice line art, but there is no shading so it feels kind of boring
That's an interesting edit.
I kinda like the roughness of the resolution difference, makes the head pop nicely from the rest of the image. Maybe the most problematic thing for me is the font, which I just re-used since I was gettling lazy at that point (or just wanted to finish it "for now").
I actually did try to make some usage of the higher res on the avatar by adding in glasses with the newly gained pixels (keeping the big pixels for the face as a base) but from there it just getting too messy and overly complicated to look at.
I definately like the rougher version of the animals though, might give those a go sometime.
Thanks!
