@ultima, I spent more time tweaking the backgrounds than the animals. Perhaps you're right.

I feel the animals themselves could have more contrast in their shading to give them more volume. For some reason I instantly thought of Harry Potter when I saw this; I'm not even that big a HP fan. O_o
