Thx to the great feedback I recieved from you and the others. I think there are still quite a few things to address/figure out (if I only had the slightest clue how colors work), I'll porbably come back to this after my next 4 to 5 pieces dunno, well see.
Now I see whats casuing the stray pixel, the most-left L cluster the dark green one needs to be flipped vertically to fit into the canvas.Don't know when and how that happened.Thx for revealing that.
I double checked by zooming in with photoshop, and using a clipping mask to attatch it to the diamond template, and when it's turned off, you can see that the pixel from the very left most part of the point is revealed when no clipping mask is used; http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g330/clefairykid/screenshotdiamond.gif hopefully the zoom in shows what I mean ^^;
It looks like there might be a stray pixel outside the template area on the left point?
Right now I'm trying out different skies (a night version ,a day version(with everything brightened up)).
As for the reflection after searching a while on google I found an example of the effect I tried to depict.

Why not leave it?) It makes beautiful night sky pattern. About reflection of sun in the water: try to find some real photos. No to copy, but to take a closer look.
Thx for the feedback, much appreciated.
With sun path, do you mean the reflection on the water? I think substituting the bright green with the bright yellow helps.
The thing u referred to as boat is supposed to be the reflection of the sun.
As for the sky being too dark , I gotta agree though for fixing this I need to change the palette which I like a lot, maybe I'll find another solution we'll see.
I too did mistake your sun for moon. It's because sun path appears much brighter to me, than it is in your pic. And according to my observations we would not be able to see colours on boat in it, just a dark spot instead. + sky colour is quite dark.
Thx,
Pointillism, checked out what that is and I gotta agree it does look similar, though I think that Pointilism looks much nicer and less restricted, definitely trying that out , the traditional way ofc.
I wonder why my intended sun is being interpreted as a moon, does the sky indicate that it is night?,as for being too square I agree, also is that a forest you're hinting to in the right? and whats the red part on the left supposed to be,kinda looks like a person is sitting there.
I was planning on working on this anyways, will post the update once the challenge is over.
Thank you,
Triangulism, I quite like the sound of that .
