Thanks for the great comments, very much appreciated! :D And yeah, some stuff is a bit lame with the game, the time limits we had sucked so much and the game ended up no where near what I'd of liked to do :( And the balancing was done in about 30 minutes, at the last minute so apologise for that.
Oh, and I played the game, too. Loved it.
But WAY WAAAAAY too easy. I only failed ONE mission once, because I just sat around trying to collect resources. Got overwhelmed of course.
Biggest complaint is too easy. Second complaint is too short - It should've been 3 times as long. Third - you can't cancel a spell or move command once you start it (work-around is to hit ESC twice to queue the menu then exit it, command will be canceled.)
Once you have a couple good spells you can go back and beat the early maps in a few clicks - just infest the first 2 or 3 troops and support them with other spells. BAM, done.
Once a spell is available to use it takes too long to be able to actually click its icon - you have to wait for the glow pulse animation to elapse; annoying.
Probably most concering to a dev though - you got definite bugs. Seemed to only happen when triggering a spell very early game - the units disappear, the bg terrain get very glitchy, and units stop functioning and sound effects start getting triggered over and over, creating an irritiating cacophony - only fix is to reload the page.
Ohey, that game! I found it myself, the other day. One of the very few games I've played to the finish, of late. Nicely done, sir! ![]()
Those sprites are so awesome they prompted me to play the game... Which turned out to be awesome too!
oh man those are lovely. Really cuddly little guys, reminds me a wee tiny bit about Castle Crashers.
i personally love this type of art, and as for the game, it was very fun...until i accidently clicked a link on my browser ;_;
Your style reminds me a lot of Marple's :)
