yeah my first impression when i saaw this was that ive seen this mockup before with different characters and different palette. your execution is pretty nice, but its a bit too contrived for me to fully appreciate.
Overall, it looks better then you other mockup. Well, I have to agree this is maybe a bit to much inspired, but it's up to you in the end.
Also have to agree that the clounds look unfinished, some are square, which is not a shape clouds would normally have. The depth is better here, but the trees behind are too detailed and blend with the sky.
Keep it up, just don't copy too much 
without looknig at the name, my first thought was. "Hmm, this isn't as good as slyms's previous mockups". I think it's best to leave this kind of stuff to the april fool's challenge.
Clouds look unrefined. Still, pretty solid work here. Definitely could tell this was inspired by Slym's previous mockups.
The old mockup definately have better colours, and tiles. I like the trees here better, though. Honestly, without taking a second look at Slym's mockups, I can definately tell that this is inspired from it. You should definately re-do the clouds and the trees in the background before you keep going here. It's something that stands out a -lot- at the moment.
