Makes me think of Master System era RPGs. Love it.
There are several problems with this perspective wise: first, it looks as if the trees are given a consistent texture all the way back to the hoizon, which makes me feel like the leaves are the same distance from my face. perhaps some more forgraound trees separated from that big green blob...alternatively, since i think you were going for a top down look, raise the horizon line a great deat, because when you are looking down on somthing, the horizon line should generally be quite high. If you were indeed going for a top down effect, then the tower does not make any sense, because then the top would be closer to the viewer and would therefore appear closer (right now it looks straight on). Another thing that would liven this up is some well used atmosphereic perspective, (i.e. things appearing more blue-grey as they go bak because of particlate matter in the air). asside from the perspective, the one mountain looks kina awkward and so does the lake. I didnt mean to tear you appart so much :3 but i do like the way you rendered the mountain, clouds, and grass, and the font is cool if it is custom.
I agree especially about the lake. It could be the fact that it's tucked all the way back there, it could be the overlapping trees (though I intended for that to give it a kind of mangrove-like look), I'm not sure. It could also just be the perspective. As for the irregularities on the tower, I think you're right. I sorta sped through that part. Thanks for the feedback!
The lake part looks a bit...awkward, in a way (perspective? or maybe the forest overlapping it?). And the tower, being as tall as it is, could use some details/irregularities along its edge.
But overall it's very attractive. Well done :)
I hope you finish the game soon!
