As far as mixlplix is concerned; there's really no need for PMs. However, if he feels the need to continue digging himself into his hole of ignorance, by all means send me a PM.
Mixlplix, would you mind taking that into PM's with Darth Mandarb? There is no reason to bash one another here.
How come your recent work has been very unrefined? It's hardly pixel art...
@Darth - Yes... I was laughing too when I viewed your work. How many years you been making pixel art. I'd be sore too.
@sneep - that wasn't on purpose but it fit the theme so I left it alone ; )
Good looking piece so far Phillppe. The position of the monster looks a little awkward, but we're all here to improve and showcase. : )
@Darth - I passed my college english placement exam w/ a 98.7 so thanks for the english lesson but I know the difference. This is a pixel site...get over it.
I realise this was going to represent some flag (which still hasn't been divulged), but since it obviously this wasnt going to make the challenge in time so could have been altered. I'm not suggesting the golden rectangle is the golden rule, but generally you dont want everything layed out in the center i.e. the horizon and character. If I madee any english errors I'm sure you'll let me know.
I am working on it right now, too bad cause I won't post the version for the challenge because people are already voting.
Christ almighty... YOU ARE = you're ... seriously. It's really not that difficult.
Some overly harsh and unwarranted attitudes in here.
Philippejugnet - I agree the background needs updating (as you already said). For me the composition of the piece is fine... the pixels could use a little refinement but I don't think it's necessary to make the piece nice! I dig your style, and have noticed your improvement!
Keep slingin' those pixels!!
Good, because it seems like this piece has potential but is nowhere near ready to have been submitted ;)
If I had done something exeptional people would just say I had done it before '-' btw, since I am not in the challenge I will do a better version '-'
Very mediocre execution for a challenge of your own creation.
One of the first things an artist must consider is composition. Much of your work suffers from lack of it. I suggest you google "golden rectangle". I'm hesitant to give you advice because I think your approach to other members of PJ is suspect. For your ability and level of experience your way too cocky. However I have noticed some improvement in your work, and might do well with a bit of refinement (a lot). Another thing a professional artist must have these days is a good attitude towards others. You can find yourself outcast real quick without one.
I think we started posting on this site about the same time and it took me a lot of time of what I'll call "drone posting" tyrying to chase a level 2 status. Perhaps I felt I'd have a bit more cred. Bullshit. I've seen level 1 members who blow either of us out of the water.Your already at level 4 largely do to pointless comments. It seems your into the chalenges, as I am. Thats why I joined. However there has to be a point when you allow yourself the time it takes to not only produce a well done piece, but to then take a week off, and look it over and be sure your satisfied. Thats the stage I'm at with pixels.
Also, this was your challenge. That being said, I expected something much better.
there are a few anatomy errors, but i love the structure !
