No need to delete or remove. Sometimes errors do happen and you have never been anything other than honest and upfront and this should not be held against you by anyone...or so I hope.
The only reason I posted publicly was because enough reports had been sent in that eventually someone would have mentioned it here and its best to never fan a flame.
Tracing in pixelart, while not highly respected, is acceptable here and does not always invalidate a piece nor make it a RIP. 100% plagiarism is about the only exception I personally dislike and most cretive people should reject on moral principles but that's a personal opinion only so even somewhat plagiarized pieces do get in on occasion and only if enough members object will action be taken. Here that did not seem to be the issue. Only the ref link seemed to have been of note.
Wow, I am very sorry for this. My friend gave me that exact picture telling me she had it commissioned and wanted a small, pixel art version for forum use. I had no idea she stole it from dA. I did trace most of the form. Perhaps I should delete this submission
Only the green was not cool like shade, but I loved the style and AA.
this is quite beautiful, looks rather sultry too.
Really hope you get around to finishing this
Although the solid color parts give a unfinished look, the AA of the other parts give a nice contrast feeling. The green however is too obvious. All in all, great piece, face and hair are beautiful
Yeah, great portrait and hair. Would be a shame not to finish the rest...
The face is really great. Obviously not finished, but the banding on the arm is bugging me. Contrastis also doable with the brown/orange imo too:
Maybe a very long time away, after even more time for it to sit out of my mind, I'll come back and finish. :p
I remember this from the forums a while back. I like this a lot. Definately worth finishing...still very nice as it is. The dithering on the face is very well placed. Impressive!
It was the only color that actually worked there. I agree it is too saturated to do the job exactly as imagined, but the only other color that could work there (the orange) doesn't have enough contrast to maintain the form of the arm. It's kind of a necessary evil :x
Also, the arm/sleeve area got basically 10 minutes of attention lol. I just finished that area enough to upload. Words can't describe how much I grew to detest working on this piece :p
Lovely.
The green shadow on the skin doesn't really work for me, maybe if you carried it through to the other materials?
i think i saw this in the wip section(forums).this piece is gorgeous.:)
I have decided to remove the piece. It is not fair to the original artist that I use his concept without his permission. I assure you nothing like this will happen again. I will make sure to check any all references I ever use extensively.
