I think you're using way too many colors here- I'm sure you could get by with just three shades of white. Using so many colors kind of defeats the purpose of pixel art and makes it look rather muddy. You've also got a bad case of pillow-shading, with everything being lit from the front. Pick a consistent light source and stick with it- may I suggest top left? May want to look up some lighting tutorials, and read about the dangers of pillow shading.
As for the linework, there aren't too many glaring problems- The ears are a little iffy with where the pink part is, though that may just be because of the shading. Might want to try bumping the feet inwards so they overlap with the body to give a bit more depth. Good luck- I bet it will be cute when it's done.
