Cheers guys, I'm calling this map thing finished but I'm going to soon begin character/enemy design and maybe do a few more scenery pieces :)
I like it. Would be interesting to see some tall grass as well.
No... I drew every single tile myself, if you bother to compare them you'll see there's an obvious influence but they're original. I was basing it on my old gameboy games, trying to get a similar look and feel. The only pieces you should find close/almost the same would be the grass and the basic outline of the roofs, which for I tried to use originals as a reference. I can promise no ripping or copy/pasting went on, i've spent about two weeks slowly drawing and adding to this. If you reckon they're too close I can always have another shot at them..
Are you SURE you didn't just rip/copy the grass tiles?
Is this totally original or are you using ripped tiles and sprites?
The idea was to create a tileset like the older games used. Kind of tried to emulate their repetetive style, but it's still a WIP, definitely going to be making more landscape tiles and things :)
Pokemon? Its nice but maybe the tiles could use some variation?
