It's the curl in his "hair" and his unfortunate oil dripping that turns this from merely an excellent pixel into a Fool-ish one

Fool! you don't know me, but I know you. You are the one who has inspired me to try and get better at pixel art. When you hadn't uploaded anything in over a year, I was afraid you were not doing pixel art anymore.
Purely on the piece, it's another excellent piece of work. I love steampunk and really like the creative way your approach your charavters. I love the wheel parts on the thighs and how you've dealt with the whole pelvis area. I also like how you've turned cogs into a victorian-styled ruff, given him a metal quiff and conveted such a creative face with his eyes. Inspirational.
