Frame 1 : that was supposed to be his arm. I don't even think I looked back at what I've done when I did all this, so eh, it's kind of messed up.
Frame 4 : eyyyh look at melanie's post, she got it all right. It's his eyes that open when he gets touched by the dark stuff. And it was meant to have minimal amount of changes, just to focus on the touch and the eyes.
I know I should do more animation, and you're right, it'd be nice, but... well I wish I had more time. Meh :p
Well, thanks for that. To me the most important frame is the 5th, because it's what it's all about, fighting darkness and stuff; but you have to go through frame 4 to actually know what you're fighting, right? :)
I'm really glad you like it.
Thanks for that. I'm well aware that piece is technically totally shitty, but as I think you understood, that wasn't really the point. Thanks for pointing out the problems, tho, you know I always appreciate that. :)
And, uh, the palette? What about it?
Frame 4 is my favorite! I think it's the most interesting. The figure finally gets touched by the creepy limbs, and seems to simultaneously become some kind of possessed. This reminds me of the game Lone Survivor.
I like this piece overall, it would mae a beautiful animation. Frame 1: I don't know what that is across his chest. It makes it look like breasts, but if it is suppose to be his arm it is too long and the angle is off I think. Frame 4: The weakest frame, least amount of change, and I don't know what the light pixels are supposed to be.
All creative/artistic aside, which is great. This is your worst piece yet.
The AA is not optimal and in most cases creates visual banding were there is none. I had to actually zoom in a few times to see the mess close up...just technical side of things, k. You know I like your stuff...
...oh yeah!...that palette
The palette (not colors) seems unbalanced in hue/sat. The main neutralizer looks dull because it leans to a red base on a blue palette. Additionally, darker shades in smaller palettes like more sat on darker shades and less on lighter.
*Here is a blue pallette thats well balanced: Aleph Null
