Alright. Maybe it isn't an indie game. But what does it matter? It was developed by an indie company and the game is damn good, so I'm keeping it there.
But independant of which indie is a shorthand means without publisher, being the publisher themselves. Neither of those are true, they were funded by SCE and the game was published by SCE. They probably also had some creative input and took care of all the marketing. If that's indie, then CoD games are indie.
That Game Company is an indie developer, though. And since they CREATED the game, I consider it indie.
