I say it like NEEo-FO-Tees-tow. Caps hold emphasis (tow like the sound in the word tower); Is that how it's spoken?.. maybe the OU is pronounced differently.
That's a great surname.
Thank you! How do you speak it out loud?
It's my surname, it's greek and it means newly enlightened.
Thanks a lot neofotistou! I like the way your name/handle rings when I speak it aloud btw.
True Dreadlockz. Thank you very much for the comment, and no problem for the rant.
All artists are "copy-cats", even Dali, Picasso, whomever. It is how you use all the influences you've acquired to create something new that matters.
This is a fantastic piece, thanks for the rant too, never forget!
Yeah I half regretted posting such a rant but as explained I thought it would help explain the reason I pixeled this. About the, I'm not even going to say conspiracies... just the thing that bothered me almost as much as the tragedy in itself, are the iffy reactions and interviews of some of the people involved. I'll pm you here a couple oddities since I had to trudge through a few things to get to them. I agree this is a nasty subject and may not be proper for this happy place. But, art and emotional expression go hand in hand sometimes. Also like I said this started as kind of a Dada piece where I had no direction initially.
2012's color was Tangerine Tango.
*Ashbad Thanks alot. I went for obscuring the color almost.
*Christoballs.. Yeah. I'm a slight hypocrite for saying pixel artist can be copy-cats earlier in the chatter box when here I am copying Justice's logo.. but that shape of a 3d tilted cross fits so well on the casket shape :p
Have to say I'm unaware of whatever conspiracies you refer to and am somehwat curious - though I think the PJ gallery is not the place for it. To the forums, perhaps?
That said, it was a damn awful event and your thoughts - and your piece - are tastefully made.
What was 2012's color, anyway?
I like the use of the color most in this entry -- probably has my vote.
Thank you! it's pronounced neh-oh-FO-tees-too in greek. I know, impossible :)
