His nose is supposed to be pretty big, yeah. So, if we're looking at the same thing, it's his nose. 
It's actually not too bad for some tall pixels; however, I think the preview is stronger with the blue glow on his face. Also, does he have a really giant nose or are those lines at his cheeks someting else?
It's a very nice piece, and I like the colors. The preview animation is nice. I'm not an expert on tall pixels, but it looks good to me.
