Hello, welcome to pixeljoint. If you did not draw the text by hand, could you please remove it? Also, pixeljoint prefers transparent backgrounds if a plain background doesn't serve a purpose.
I agree that the contrast is too high, especially in the upper-left picture. Nonetheless it has a style and the details are pretty recognizable, which makes me like this very much!
I love the style a lot, would love to make a videogame worldmap with that style :p.

Good work, but I think the overall contrast is too high which make the pieces difficult to read.
