 yeah this is the first time i've ever tried something like this, so i guess i can only go up from here. if anyone has any tuts or w/e i'd love to see them

The concept looks fine; the animation requires more frames and the bottom part of the legs seems to be "broken" or distorted.

 I absolutely love the concept but I think just the 2 frames takes a lot away from the robot. If there were more frames incoporated into this it would be friggin' awsome. I'm also not so deeply taken in by the face either but as I said before the body is fantastic!
