I'm too much of a fan of the lifebar but the rest looks awesome.
Very good screens. I would like to play that platform/adventure game.
sweet celestia ! it's about time to see these as an actual game ! :D
Gorgeous tile work, but as has been somewhat mentioned by others, the backgrounds and terrain elements are very attention grabbing, and by contrast the character is very hard to make out. In terms of gameplay and visibility it could be very hard to follow. The background and stage borders are very well defined, but you need to also find a way to make the characters pop out.
To be fair I don't know what it looks like in motion, and regardless this is still excellent work.
Its Squirrelsquid! Welcome :D
I love the tiles on the second layer in the first image!
Beatiful tiles!!
The color palette is similar some GBA games!!
Good works!!
Hard work and great result. I really like your work. Be sure to reach the great heights.
As been said, underground backs are messing with the action a little, but everything else is great.
I really like the colors! Underground background contrast just seems so high though, my eye's distracted and fluttering around so much...
Yea, just noticed it too. will edit it when I'm back home.
The 10k preview limit needs to go. This should be appearing on the front page but ain't cos the preview just breaks that extremely outdated limit.
It's a shame you posted this so late in the month. Could have, perhaps, been a contendor for this month's top pieces. Everything is quite stylish!
The foreground, midground, and background, could be a little more of a change detail wise, cause theres a lot to comprehend. Also, not a huge fan of the health gauge. The tan and yellow on it is a little bland, and the detail isn't up to snuff with the rest of this mockup. Anyway, good show and nice work!
eventualy, I will. Potentialy with a kickstarter campaign. But for the time being I am focusing on a smaller project.
thanks pal.
the Idea was/is to have far more menacing looking enemies within dungeons. they would behave far more agressive too. While the blobs with wings would prolly just bounce and flap around without realy aiming for the player ( they'r just floating around happily). The lil "mushroom guys" the protagonist is standing on are not entirely your enemies. or rather, at this point in gameplay they are your trusty minions. ;3
on another note, I added another Purry that is not entirely related to this scenery. He is a shop owner, so you would find him in a shop, usualy... did I mention the houses these purries live in are cat shaped?
Although the cuteness of the cat may have been rooting for the enemies (especially the monstrous ones in the lower screenshot) this is full of lovely tilework, backdrops and the colors are lush.
This is great! The amount of little details and the use of colors make this a amazing view.
