@ParkerBabyDiaperCompany:
Well that is unfortunate. I do value good reference photos, which i did have many to glance at, but copying is not my style and not the way this piece was born. Take a look at the link provided in the description and check the forum thread. I did have to change the idea about the environment when i started this piece, but it was in the very beginning. So adding a background later is just the order of pixeling and not the thought. For me the lynx does look underwater with or without the background, an that is due the purposefully composed palette.
Despite some disagreements i do appreciate your comment and i'm glad you like my work.
Sorry, for the long reply,
@FlyGuy: Thank you, i really like your entry as well, so you've got vote from me too.
Muy buen trabajo Erstus, los colores que usaste me agradan mucho, tendras mi voto asegurado
What I find unfortuante about this piece is it looks like you just found a picture of a lynx, spent a while copying it, and then added the environment as an after thought. Nothing about the lynx itself suggests it is underwater.
I like the pixelling and artwork, though.
@ultimaodin: Thanks. I pixeled some waves and light beams to give it more environment. Does it give the right impression now?
As much as I enjoy the pixelling - I don't really get a sense of this being underwater. The scanline like dither is cool.
I love you. and lynxes! haha
