This is beautiful! I'd love to play an exploration game like this
Stick it to the man! But, yeah, I know that having the pic zoomed in already is rather unorthidox, but it couldn't be that big of a deal, seeing that it is supposed to be veiwed zoomed in(like so). As for the vicious monsters, chests of riches, and danger-prone females, they are all off-screen of course!
Thanks for the comment!
I think you should have uploaded the 1x version,
people can always zoom in using the + button under the image
... by the way... where are the enemies, and treasures and a kidnapped princess to be saved?
It's funny that such a subtle change can do so much. Well, it it pixelart, so that would make sense.
It is a little darker than the original, and a little lighter than the first edit. Hopefully hit the sweetspot.
I feel the piece is too low contrast now. It doesn't look as good as before, I think.
Compare them side by side and see if this update is better.
Alright, thank you everyone for your comments! They are greatly appreciated.
But, yeah, I agree with you guys on the yellow-orange color dilemma. I lowered the value +saturation and edited the main image; hopefully it is better now. Thanks again!
I think that the orange is too noisy for this, it's distracting.
I would so play this game. I imagine dodging around giant spiders and bears. Great feel to it.
I don't know if I agree with FreshSheet's comment. On the surface, I would say, yes tone down the orange in the rocks but when I did that in my mind it lost something I liked. Might work. Idk.
I have to say I like everything about this except for the ground tiles. They're distracting, especially for a game. Much too bright for a cave, IMO
Many thanks Nickropheliac! And welcome to pixeljoint! Hope to see work from you :D
