No I know that's what the preview is, I was talking about the full sized portrait. Fire Emblem portraits often have larger eyes, or at least very well defined eyes. Like Ross from FF8. Hawkeye in FF7 had defined eyes while still being small.
I think he is trying to make it similar to the actual game in the sense that when you mouse over a character it shows a little potrait like that.
For a fire emblem sprite, the eyes are a bit hard to read.
I'm just saying its a hard read. The colors aren't that separate from each other there
