You need to post another, so you can win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in this challenge!
ahh I see. After looking at the metal slug explosion for a while though I noticed that its explosion doesnt really spread outward except when its still exploding out. After that point it basically starts condensing inwards. Whereas on yours you spend most of the animation spreading it outwards and the last few condensing it again. ITs pretty minor, and probably only noticeable because its looping, it just seems a little off to me. It really is a pretty great animation though.
@r1k: I was going for something like in this metal slug explosion i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh114/inphact/000.gif
I noticed and when I added the lens flare it seemed to make it more noticable :(
thats awesome. The only thing that bothers me about it is that as the smoke is rising it seems like its dissapating outwards, but then the last few frames has it condense inwards.
Hm, the first explosion part is really nice and semi-realistic...so it clashes a bit with the following smoke that looks a bit more cartoonish/stylized. Still, pretty cool kaboom.
That is a sweet looking lens flare.
Do two more of these, and you might just pull a philippe/cure.
BOOOM!!!
