Actually finished it this time. Random notebook sketch turned pixels.

 I think the colors need to be brighter. A very good example of what I mean is here http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/81586.htm?sec=date. I could be wrong but that's just me. Great concept nevertheless though!

 I am incredibly not happy with how this turned out, so I'm going to redo it very soon.

 

EDIT: Uploaded the one I am happy with. Sorry for drawing a gameboy, I know every pixel artist with access to MS Paint has done one, but I just felt like drawing it.
