[Edit] Modified the palette a bit.
[Edit] Work a bit more on the smoke on the right and some tweeking here and there.
Great palette, it really helps communicate the image. I love the way the piece is divided into distinct areas of textures: the swirling smoke, the pressed blazer, and the mask metal. The poison gas is personified by its horrific shapes.
A few minor crits came to mind:
- Might be cool if one of the lenses was getting more light, like: http://i.imgur.com/D9vF1Rz.jpg
- Your technique is very developed and consistent, but I think some areas have too much AA, which might make them seem a bit overworked (like his shoulders).
-The curve of tube is more dynamic in reference photo, I think it makes the composition more interesting and less mirrored/frontal.
-I love how the gas overlaps his left shoulder. It might be cool if the gas envelopes him everywhere, like he's bursting through the fog.
Delightful piece overall!
I really like the effect of smoke and lighting it makes the mask and suit .. is really amazing, there is no way claim .. is truly amazing.
Much much better haha. Great job :)
Thanks Vielmo, I've adjusted his head size and given him neck. :)
Nice inspiration haha
edit: The head kinda seems disproportionate from the body. Seems a bit too small. Other than that, awesome work.
I loved this so much.
That smoke is pretty fabulous.
Well, holy moly.
Ah, right up my alley. Stellar work on the gas effect.
Neat piece! It does have a sort of A3um vibe to it! it also reminded me of this a bit
Wow, I really thought this one was from a3um. Neat!
Very nice work.
Reminds a bit of Magritte:s "The Son of Man".
I bet a lot of people feel this way after using the restroom.
Mesmerizing swirls *o* The contrast on the mask pipe is very convincing. Great job!
whoa... it's almost photorealistic. Nice to see something different and with such tight pixeling
