I agree, I think that would look good and smoothen it out more. By the highlights do you mean like adding more of a shiny reflection, or chaning the color so it is lighter?
Hey thanks for the help! Yea that is a good point, I started with an overly purple red shading and changed it to the current (which like you said was probably to red)

The pallete could use some work... how about shifting the hue some more? Like making the red's shadows more purple... but not too much.
That being said though I think it's well put together... like the curves on the mushroom are great :P
Maybe if you put a little more aa to the edges of your mushroom, then it would look great. I does look good, I just feel like it could be better. And maybe you should add a few highlights using a lighter color?
So cool, I'd like to see some more variations on the neutral toad theme...or just toad variations in general.
