Practice with Gameboy palette as taken off of wikipedia's example. I miss playing FFCC.

Im not sure if there really is a 'legit' colors for gameboy.  I think the rgb values are just approximations of what the origanal gameboy displayed.  If you actually had one of those old gameboys, I think they had a knob that turned brightness up and down anyways, so the actual colors are dependant on how you have that dail set (and I think also on battery life).  I cant remember if the brightness had any effect on the contrast.  I think later gameboys like the pocket may have displayed the colors slightly differently from the origanal as well.  So I dont think slightly altering a colors value would be a big deal.  I havnt really looked into gameboy color specs though, this is just how I remember it.

I kinda figured that, but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to alter the palette because then it wouldn't be a legit off-the-Gameboy color scheme then.

 Fine. Agree with r1k.

the 2 lightest colors are too similar, you cant really tell them apart at 1x.
