Thank you!
In fact, I already fixed this by having more colors, and fixed the light reflection itself, but I will not change it until the challenge is over. I added a few more colors to make it match the overall looks and will be updating the picture when the voting week is over.
It is odd that the lighthouse illuminates itself, come to think of it. And the polished, detailed look once things are lit up kind of doesn't mesh with how basic the look is when it's dark. But I really like the idea and the way you did the snow, so I voted for it.
Oops .. I already wrote a comment here. Well, good idea, once again. :) I have a short memory.
Well, it's not a "keyhole". The shape's still there. I'll see if I can post a link on the description for a comparative picture later. As far as rules go, the PA fits perfectly (Less than 20 colors in all frames, black part kept intact even during the flickering animation, the boundaries of the shape itself respect pixel-perfectly). What fools the eye, mostly, is the "no light" frame, and the PA's base, which is filled with black. The rules say nothing about using black inside the shape too (with other submitted arts using black as well). If the moderation feels (or anyone seeing this) that it is against the rules, I can change it, or remove it altogether :)
Is this even allowed? It looks cool and all, but it's not the keyhole shape anymore..
Edit: My sincerest apologies, your art made it look like the original shape was smaller and you crossed the borders of it, I judged too quickly.
The lighting is kinda weird, really, just so I could "fill the space" with this idea in mind. I'll see about the dither, I think.
Thank you all dudes!
Cool idea, but the dithering makes it look... cheap.
Also it is kinda strange that lighthouse illuminates itself.
Wow! This is excellent!
