your pixel art looks like posters for a theater or a art-house movie. beautiful as always.
- I think I'm going to fave most of your gallery... it's so fun to look at :x -
Wow, I think this is my favorite pixel art piece ever! Or at least, one of them for sure.
I love this static-styl It looks all so time-muted, like a snapshot. But it is full of life the same time! Great great great!
Love the palette and the mood of this picture. It would be nice to play a game with these cool graphics.
Yes... erm. Lake. Totally a lake, because my lightsource positioning is actually completely perfect :D :D :)
Sweet piece! With all that tile action, you should be making games dude.
Only crit is that certain bits are sylistically quite different, for example the big winding key and the beast on it. But that's quite understandable, keys aren't as interesting to render in detail :D
Oh and the moon is tinting the rocket from below, ahem! :D There must be a lake off to the right that reflects the moonlight.
It's a really charming piece aside from one small thing
the monster on the top of the clock is styled way differently than everything else.
I would give this 6/5 if I could. And I especially like that boxed patterns for the cloud dither.
Okay makes sense on the outlines. I can see how they would look a tad flat without that. Also I assumed it was a motion blur, but wasn't positive since nothing else in the image has any kind of motion effect added. -- Once again, this all looks awesome. really great work here. still a 9/9
This is soooo great! °A° My favourite so far! Can't stop looking at it :D
I made the "shadow" outline so it makes the buildings separate (albeit forcefully) from the rocket smoke.
The blue thing is supposed to be a bloom-shine-motionblur of sorts.
Not exactly good looking, I know :D
This will earn Top Pixel Art September 2013 and the weekly challenge
@castled - I have to disagree. I think the smoke looks great. It is a true display of the weight of the rocket. It lifts off and the thrust of the engine is pushing harder on the lower portion of the rocket, which will tilt the tip upward.. The angle, and the smoke in general is superb.
The style is just amazing, not only the lines but the colors too. I love this piece.
Only thing that doesn't work for me is that the angle of the clocket's jet and the angle of the smoke seem contradictory. But in a peice with this many details there are bound to be things people don't agree on.
It's like you took 5 seperate pieces of art and mashed them together, splendid!
So many parts to this artwork that could work as their own separate piece. Well done!
Oh gosh, this gets the "I didn't expect this from the preview" award.
outstanding man. although i find the thin black shadow around the large and small towers kind of odd. -- also the blue (shadow?) behind the dinosaurs necklace seems strangely out of place. -- I'd love a short explination on these 2 things to help me understand this piece better.
all in all, this has got to be my favorite piece from you now. really fun to look at. 9/9
I really enjoyed the dithering on the clouds. Congrats, another great job.
