This is cute. I like the color palette, the general look and silhouette of the character, and the simple animation.
I wonder if being more consistent with the selective shading of the outline would improve the image. I'm thinking it might work to use the light shade on the lightest part of the outline for the top of his head. It might, then, also make sense to lighten the outline on his belly. Alternatively, it might be good to darken the outline of his right hand, left hand, and lower body. Or, it might be just fine as it is.
There is one little thing I would like to suggest for the animation: I feel it would look better if his feet stayed planted throughout. You could still have his knees move out to show that he's bobbing in place, but I feel the feet should stay firmly in place as it is unnatural for them to push out like that.
I can make out only seven colors, counting transparency, yet the info on the image description says there are eight colors. Is there a stray color in there that could be removed or is the info wrong? I understand there was white in the eyes before; was that the eighth color?
make the eyes blue, get rid of the white. Problem solved.
The thing is, the rules also say that transparency is required. Something is going to have to change, if you want this to get into the weekly challenge. It is quite cute, too.
Just forgot to change it.
