Those little boxes under all art are voting boxes. The most during any week are WS (weekly showcase) those with the most for the month are Top10.
I've looked into several animation programs. Which one would you suggest?
Despite the fact that you say you don't get "shading" your use of color here is great. I agree with CELS, though, my first response was "I want to see this mooooove!" You could probably animate it on a loop fairly quickly and it would look fantastic. I mean, it already does, so that's not hard.
Inspiring. No worries, just develop things your'e good at ;) Usually the art is about keeping only these things that are necessary (and pixel art teaches me it). And if shading isn't...
it is determined as it sounds. The most technically impressive pieces of the week are most eligible for the weekly showcase. Though other factors such as a very unique style, amazing pixel techniques and a high number of favorites/positive comments are a good indication
ok I fixed it. What determines if something is in the weekly showcase?
"suck at pixelart"
yet this piece has a good chance at being in the weekly showcase :)
Thanks then. No, It's just that these are merely silhoettes. I am pretty bad at shading and all that stuff so I try to avoid it at all costs.
I don't see why you need that description as there is nothing wrong with the look and style you've used here. This is lovely and well designed with all the hallmarks of delibarate pixel work proving you do not suck at all :/
Im actually using this as a background in a little game experiment. Each layer has a different scroll speed. That would mean a lot of frames :o
I like it. Now make a scrolling animation with parallax effect. Stat!
maybe you could add some flying object, it will be cool
