Thanks Zizka, will do :). Changed the preview there and added the edited version. I hope it's better.
You should definitely change the preview.
I was following this on pixelation and you've improved this piece tremendously. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the responses everyone, glad to see many liked it :).
I made an edit taking in account some of what you said Manupix, http://i.imgur.com/KGCfURM.png, i just changed the black outline for the hands and tried to lit up the table thing. I wonder if it looks better in the edit.
Also the preview shows this piece really early on, mhm maybe it doesn't look very appealing so i might change it.
This is so good, I'm loving it! And to think I almost didn't click the preview...
I usually agree fully with Manupix, but this time I disagree. The contrasting outlines really harness the power of pixel art in an unusual way. This piece of pixel art to me is more pixel art than 99% of pieces ive seen. Your use of colors, clusters and outlines emphasize the pixel in a unique way. This is really apparent at 2x
Awesome!
Dark outlines in highly lit places are disturbing (hands mostly: those thumbs could be entirely molded and separated from the bg with shading). The 'table' or whatever it is should be lit in a wide gradient too.
You did a really great job with this. It was neat looking at the WIP thread.
Good work, but you should change the preview again :D
