Wow . . . what an unflattering, vulgar pose. Haha, that's all I think when I see this. Too pornographic.
Well, I'm calling it done, guys! Thank you very much for the tips, the final version is now up.
felt like this one you kept in line, without much hue-shift as the others. anyway it's **flawless
Is this the same model as the one in "Desconsolo"? Great shift in perspective and attitude.
Yet as others said, this rendering uses more colors than the other two and yet ironically seems less smooth.
You're getting there, but you've still got some banding. I think you're overshading the leg, which is making things more complicated.
This is a quick diagram of the method I used to shade: I shade in quarters/triangles, allowing clusters to touch but not band. You can keep the same principle for different shapes.
First of all, thanks everyone who's trying to help!
I'm really learning a lot with this, which is really awesome!
I tried to mix both Christoballs and Manupix tips, and that's what I came up with:

You're not solving the problem, just polishing, which creates more rings. I have a suggestion:
I think you should try creating clusters that can fit into each other, like pixel clusters but on a larger scale. I hope it helps!
The problem is more of a pillow-shading-like technique here on the thighs+butts, independently of color count: there is a light source direction, but the even gradient from the highlight down is totally unrealistic, lightwise. I don't know if you used refs here, but there should be flatter zones and harsher transitions.
I'm in no way saying this is easy and I sure couldn't pull it myself, just that the initial mindset is wrong ;)
You did great on the previous one so I'm sure you can =)
AAing the clusters might be the best option. Cept maybe making each area off color on the butt and thigh not so evenly distributed so the bands are reinforced as they don't seem that bad on the arm :/
I really don't know, guys. I think dithering the piece would distract even more. The only solution I can come up with is to add more colors in order to add more layers of shading or to AA the clusters.
I think I'd go for the second one.
Thanks!
It's not bad, but nowhere near as impressive as your previous pieces
I agree the banding is distracting in this piece. Composition and angle are great.
You'll have to do something about the banding, it brings down the rest of this otherwise great piece.
Anyone squinting at the screen as if it would somehow bring out more details than what is contained in the pixels? No? Just me?
Fantastic work, Jinn. Very inspiring.
Flowing hair, hard angle, funny subject... very good.
And a great butt, too XD
