This is one of the backgrounds for Gunlord - a Dreamcast/NeoGeo Turrican-like game I worked on for NG:DEV.
In the game you can rarely see the background unabstructed - so here it is in all its glory.
Since NeoGeo uses 16x16x15 tiles I had to use 3 15-color palettes for this. All the dithering was requested by the developer.
This is one of my favorite pieces on this site :)
Gulp.. this is TOO good, ...
fantastic! reminds me of battle angel alita (which is a very good thing)
Fantastic! I love your gallery. ;)
Ahh, wonderful! You worked on Gunlord? Very nice, I really liked its graphics. Would love an Ouya version. ;Q;Q
some sort of moon has fallen onto the planet it seems :O
In all its clory, for sure! Marvelous! :D
Hot damn.. those colors are beautiful.
Metal Slug? !
And yes - what the developer described sounded like Battle Angel - so I just went with that inspiration: )
Wait a minute...I thought I'd seen something else that looked similar to this.
Did Battle Angel give you a little inspiration here, hmm?
This is incredible, huge fan of that palette!
This is some gorgeous industrial-vibe stuff!
I see one of the 10 tops pixel art?
Looks like a ship from those guys.
Brilliant illusion of depth and rock solid perspective. :)
This is so... so... so WOW!!!!
Soo cool, Dark!!!
Wow. I'm at a loss for words...
this is outstanding
The tri-pod (or more-pod) motive is my favorite. Nice execution too! I always give minimum 5 stars for an ilustration like this which isunder 32 colors. this one is more tha 5 stars for me ;)
I love the color scheme; it helps give your pic the aura and feel of a sci-fi post-apocalypse (post-alien invasion?) scene that takes place perhaps just a little after sunset. You should feel proud of your hard work on this.
