For those of you who don't recognise this, it's a tribute to one of the greatest PC games of the 1990's, Little Big Adventure (aka Relentless) and its sequel, LBA 2: Twinsen's Odyssey.

Didn't have time to finish, so it looks a bit rough.

Thanks a lot! :)

This is so awesome! I love that it's similar to the Star Wars poster, but different enough to be its own thing.

Much appreciated! Would love to see a pixel art LBA game some day. I saw someone start an LBA pixel art platformer once, but it was never finished.

I really love this game. And you did a very nice job with the pixelling!

Nevercreature (Level 9 Whale Shark) @ 2/10/2014 12:11

LBA!!!  One of the best games EVER.

Thanks for the feedback, Manupix! Yeah, I knew this was going to be difficult to pull off within a week. And unfortunately, I guess this was a busy week for everyone, because there was very little activity in the WIP thread.

I definitely see what you mean about the yellow energy beams. I suppose they should have more white in them. Like this.

Manupix (Level 11 Godfather) @ 2/10/2014 06:44

Ambitious piece =)

The main issue is that the beams look solid metal instead of light, because they are not the brightest thing around (contrary to the SW poster).

CELS (Level 7 Lotus) @ 2/10/2014 05:31

@vrine: Thanks, I started out doing it, but then forgot about it as the deadline grew closer. I've added some AA now.

@Voltali obscur: Thanks. Using so many different colours definitely made it harder to make this smooth, but I desperately wanted to include those hilarious WW1-esque soldiers and I felt I needed a bit of pink / purple to make Zoé recognisable.

I almost wish I had more time and space, because it would have been nice to do a Funfrock / Dark Monk silhouette in the stars, kind of like Darth Vader here. At this size, it just felt too crowded to pull off.

Voltali obscur (Level 9 Boss) @ 2/9/2014 17:57

Although some places might need some more intermediary colors (like as vrine pointed out, on the lightbeam for instance) I think you've done well considering the colors limitation - especially since LBA universe is quite colorful and that you pictured various elements from it :)
As said on the forum, really nice take on the references. This piece will definitely get one of my votes! <3

I really like this! You've done a great job CELS!

I feel the beams of light could use some AA though, just to make it a bit smoother.
