awesome job man, this is very beautiful and you really captivate that Fire Emblem feeling... It was the first thing I thought before reading the description... and then I realized that the characters where from shining force II, awesome game btw!.

I don't want to draw attention to it... but... there actually was a Shining Force I remake for the gameboy advance.
Don't look it up unless you can bare the pain. The artwork is... wanting.
I absolutely adore this, if there ever was a remake of Shining Force (I or II) I hope they'd go this way.
Thanks for the comments folks. I wanted the animation to evoke your classic 2-frame idle animation, but with some quick inbetweens to smooth it out (and practice sub-pixelin').
I made a little compromise and evened out the frame speeds a bit, so hopefully it still retains that feeling without looking so weird. They look too hyper if I speed it up any more, and the animation too chunky if I average the frame speed any further, so hopefully this is decent sweet spot without reworking the animation--already spent too long on this one!

Knew I recognized those characters. This is great. The animations definitely feel off with that long delay though.
