Awesome! That background totally messes with my eyes, it looks like the pixels are somehow wavy.
Hehe ! The thing that makes it so special is the fact it looks so wavy even tho it's only straight rectangles. It has a very nice movement :)

I dig the simple background, lets the characters and platforms really "pop".
I've to imagine they're screaming, which makes the whole thing very dramatic
