This is exceptional! It just rests so well on the eyes. Kudos for the composition.
Definitely better integration, although I'd have preferred the opposite move (less green). Matter of taste at this point.
Also just noticed the title coincidence. Or not?
I adjusted the colors to be more green. Working? The original is in the description still.
Fantastic style, loving the colours! I have to agree with the others on the background however.
The greys for vegetations really hurt this piece a sightly more saturated color may help.
Oh yes, I really like this. From the colors, via the composition, to the just enough details in the background. Very well pixeled .
Pretty cool piece =)
I'm no fan of the colors though. There seem to be 3 unrelated color zones: bg including temple, fg vegetation, skull. The neutrals greys would be ok with the few subdued teals in the bg, but they really clash with the greens, which are themselves grouped in a close pack as hue and saturation are concerned. I'd love to see some purples and yellows in the foliage. Maybe no greens altogether.
To be honest, I would say the same about a3um's piece, but at least in his the greys are not in close contact to the greys.
Composition: I'd move the temple 10 or 20px to the left, and maybe a bit down too.
@Mijichu, there are now extensions or fixes for every browser. What do you use?
@ADrawingMan, stones > pearl necklace
The composition is super good! Everything is set up just right!
My only crit is that the stones by the skull look a tad weird.
Wooow. Thanks for showing the different versions, I have a blurring browser. The wip is really interesting to watch, too.
How'd I miss this lol..?
