Hey guys, thanks for all of your input!
To Dr. D, that's right. It's a really cool work. I appreciate that you guys approve of it. I probably won't have time to update it right now due to school, but once I get some free time I'll update it.
To Petruzska, I really think you should! It's kind of cool working with this medium and doing referential drawings. I'm really surprised how much classical art techniques really transfer over to here and stuff.
To Jalonso, that's really sound advice. I'll admit I'm pretty lazy and rush through a lot of things, so I think all of that will be really good for me. I'll shoot you a PM when I update it for sure!
Love this! I like it even more than Nietzche´s picture, it is sort of trippy. And still it has maintained great shape feeling, i feel like I could touch it and it would be solid. I suddenly feel urge to do autoportrait too, wow.
Open the file and zoom in to 800% and go thru it all and clean as you go.
At that % you can easily see what's 'ugly' and touch it up.
Take the light blue hairline/highlight. See that extra 4 pixel bump up on top...clean it.
Just below that where it curves in then out again and its just a single pixel...edit that.
Think of lines like those so that they 'step' say 2,2,3,3,3,4,6,5,3,2,1,1 instead of 4,3,4,6,2,1,4,5. That's ugly.
Zoomed in go around the ear and 'step' those lines so they are as clean as possible.
The black area under the nose, the black color hairline and the bottom of the shirt (blue).
Go thru it all focusing on mini areas as stand alone pieces then zoom out again and polish any crazy stray that remains.
When zoomed if it looks ugly it is ugly.
Let me know when you update ;)
Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, I kinda felt unhappy about how it turned out in terms of cleanliness and consistency. What can I do to clean it up?
Good: design, colors, overall look.
Bad: Some real dirty bits and lines which really is a shame.
Nice, but my epilepsy kicks in every time I look at it. :p
Edit: I just updated this picture and cleaned it up a little. Feel free to leave more feedback!
