Mockup for a game. If it's not evident, I followed most of SD3's "rules" for how the tiles fit together. The water is the main exception.
To see what it looks like with a bit of post, go to: world-of-noel.deviantart.com/art/Sirdeka-Forest-463618686
Im prolly the ONLY one here who sees it, but this reminds me of a un popular sc2 ladder map a long time ago.
Wow- another perfect mockup from NoeL... At this rate my favorites page is going to be comprised of only NoeL stuff XD
Very SoM. Great work.
Man, all your tiled stuff looks very well done!
Yessss nice edit, Dawn.
Noel, the tiles are great. This is excellent.
I love the SNES's Chrono Trigger and this reminds me a lot of it.
If it's a murky forest, those small ground flowers (4 tiles used in yer mock) stand out far too much; too bright.
Your dA version is ever better, with the tree canopy shadows. So nice . . .
This looks super nice. The murky colours really give it a nighttime/dense forest feeling, but I do think it would need just a dab of bright highlights here and there. Aside from that this is pretty darn amazing.
Hey thanks, I appreciate the tweak but it's gloomy because it's a dense forest (the deviantart link shows it with canopy shadows and whatnot). It's also going to be a PC release so doesn't need to be as bright as a handheld. That said I do have a tendency to make things too dark and muddy so I appreciate the feedback - particularly from someone that knows colour like you do. :P
Beyond a favorite!
Very nice...but the colors are quite murky and gloomy. It's not supposed to be a night scene is it? Anyways I tested tweaking the palette a bit (got some use for my new Multiply-operator!).
I can only say...what hey said!
some pretty stuff
Beatiful tile set!!!
I am in love with every RPG mockup you make.
