@ D-jinn Thanks! Still trying to shape my style. I've more concerned over the "process" behind it, I've recently tried new way of making pixel art and I'm still away from my ideal.
@Mandrill I was wondering about it! I was really afraid of making it appear like a big brush :P
So I struggled a bit and it's inchosistent. Damn seeing it after some days really makes me wonder what I was thinking.
I'll try other types of tree. Do you think that a more stylized look may help?
I love trees. this looks awesome.
too much quality for a less amount of colors. keep this style.
The middle is well done. Looks volumetric and cottony.
You should try to do the same kind of cluster placement for the top and bottom parts.
Thanks!
It's really messed up, but I think that I've more or less a good base with it.
Thanks for the comment.
Well, why not a tree? They are nice.
It's really rough because at some point I got other things to do and I wanted to end it that day and leafs are really painful to do, at least for me.
I posted it mostly for some comments since I'm planning to try various style and types of trees, I'm currently searching a for a way to make nice leafs without getting mad with all the details...
The gallery has a lot of references and I want to try a different prospective next time. :D
What's with the trees lately? I don't get it.
Now, the piece itself is very nice, though a tad lopsided. The second brightest shade of green could stand to be lighter, or you could add an intermediate shade between the two brightest. The grass could use some polish, too.
Definitely!
Pixel trees, especially the smaller ones, don't have to look too realistic in my opinion. Simpler shapes and bigger clusters are much easier on the eyes and give a very pleasent look.
