Another concept mock for my low-color, outer-space murder mystery! I'm glad to finally finish this one up. It's been sitting on my computer about 95% done for months now.
Thanks for the comments everyone, I really appreciate them!
Pheno - Yeah, someone else had a similar complaint about the text-box striped background. I'll try out some alternatives and see if there's a way to make it nicer to read. As for the perspective - yeah, this room has one of those forced, game-y perspectives. Most of the wonkiness, I think, comes from the fact that this room is transitioning between two different angles. It was also hard to translate that onto the 12-sided center-tube, especially with the limited palette. But I'm open to suggestions! Thanks for the feedback!
GameBoy - That sounds pretty awful. Sorry about that!
Wooooww great mock-up!!!
I don't like it, it makes my inner ear go crazy. If I was forced to watch this image more than few seconds I would got motion sickness. :(
Amazing from the very concept to the end with a perfect outcome!
Love the colors and your overall use of shapes and lines in the background. Your choice of resolution also makes it look really slick. Great work dude!
Looks super fun!
Terrific all around
Ahhh, a low colour pixel. And what a superb one it is!
Portrait is most awesome.
Lovely as usual. I wanna play. D:
The thick stripes in the dialogue box are very distracting to me, I don't know if it's just me but I have trouble focusing on the text. The rest of the mockup is quite nice, though, everything pops and the round shapes are very well defined by the thin lines. The perspective is a little weird, but there doesn't seem to be much of a way around that with the way you've set up the tiles.
Great use of color! I hope you make this into a game.
Great use of the colors! The foreground / background elements work really well with the scene. I'd definitely want to play this if it were ever released ;).
Always a fan of your work. Looking great.
