flat stone isn't actually flat, so you can experiment with some low-contrast forms/cracks to give it subtle volume
reguarding texturing a stone- its a funny truith that something so simple is actually pretty complicated.
The thing I love so much about this piece is that even though you could add more details, in its current form, it is very polished. I would love to see more pieces with this kind of style. Where most of the colors are blocked in, but all the edges, and seperations are very well thought out and executed.
Thank you for all the praise and criticism, I could refine it more, but I don't know how texture a flat stone x_x. The lava I did only 3 frames because otherwise would have to do 8, and it would give too much work @_@
I can understand considering the scale, it was hard to render all of it. You did fairly good here considering, although this would look sweet fully rendered.
It looks a little too liquid for lava. Maybe slowing it down would help?
Your recent pieces remind me a lot of philippejugnet, in style at least. There's a roughness to your cluster edges, but it doesn't stick and out and the general painterly aesthetic of it is really strong. Great work, you're one of those artists I'm keeping a close eye on ;)
I really like the lack of dithering in it. It gives it an interesting look. Especially the lava animation. That really adds to it
Seemingly simple yet very effective. Picking up some lighting techniques, thank you.
The wide, paintbrush-like brush for this piece is really good. Nice job.
!!!!!! WOOT ah... sweet
