YEP, yepyepyep, I see what you're saying now, I was focusing too much on texture rather than the overall shape. Thank you very much, Imma fix that!
The grass looks nice, but the mass of leaves on the tree appears super flat to me. Perhaps it is because there's no clear "top" to the foliage? And if that is not the perspective you're going for, some shadows at the bottom (I'm thinking of the mass of leaves as a cylinder) would help. Rarely is a tree looked at so straight-on.
shouldn't there be more shadow on the tree itself? it looks a bit plainer than the other shadows on gras and leaves.
