Yeah I saw that this morning. I can't believe I won twice in a row.
Thanks guys!
The only two challenge entries you've posted have both achieved first
couldnt have made the palette any more pleasing. masterful entry

I thought the colors on the palette were atrocious. You proved me wrong.
This is a perfect fit for the palette! Quite a smart fit and well executed.
i think i just found the master of dithering. omg this piece is amazing, i'd wish i was that good
good choice of imagery given the palette, probably the only entry thus far that doesn't seem unnaturally garish
Absolutely wonderful piece, might I suggest putting a bolt through the yellow circle on the board? Something like this maybe? i'm sure you can do a much better job at that than myself, either way the piece is great as is.
Aaaah so much nostalgy...
A truly great idea for the wc (AND you managed to post a popular pokemon theme piece, which is sort of an exploit here on PJ ).
One other little nitpick I'd like to add to what Mandrill said, is that some parts seem to lack of aa, specifically the red outline on the back of pikachu's head and left ear, where it's next to the yellow reflexion.
That doesn't look like 4 colors...
*squints*
Wait a second...
amazing dithering.
That gradient in the background is really doing things for me.
Brilliant entry!
Huge pieces like this are always tricky to do with a limitted palette And. you even managed to create something this expressive with just 4 colours, amazing
One nitpick though.
You didn't anti-aliase the pink colour at all, which makes the highlights on the board look a bit edgy. Orange is usually ideal to anti-aliase red as well as pink.
As far as I know, you can update it before the end of the week.
Oh wow! You're right! After looking through a lot of sunset references, that never really occurred to me. (That and I was also using that Pokemon Yellow pic as reference as it did the same thing too)
I should fix that right away. Is it still too late to edit this since I've already submitted?
This is so great. Only complain - sun reflections on the water don't work like that. It should be straight line from sun to the camera.
Awesome ways D: I didn't think it can be as good as this one with only 4 colors.. great job!
Great work! The AA is quite impressive. :)
The thing that sticks out to me is the back of Pika's head, where the yellow line is broken.
I love the dithered gradient in the horizon/sky! I honestly had to take a closer look to see if it was REALLY only 4 colors!
