Flying polyps are form Lovecraft's novelette "A Shadow Out of Time". They are the enemies of the Great Race of Yith. Although frequently mentioned, they are nebulous describe. They are polypous beings that fly without wings, are able to turn invisible, and leave behind five-toed footprints.
